Lake Troy Douglas

Dedication And Ribon Cutting Ceremony
Family and friends gathered Tuesday, October 21st, 2003 for the McLendon Hills Lake Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. McLendon Hills is a family oriented community and family operated by the Carr and McNeill families of Rockingham. The developers Craig McNeill and Tom Carr chose to name the streets after their family members. It was a unanimous decision that the Lake be named in honor Troy Douglas Carr, the son of Tom and Rachel Carr, who was killed in the line of duty in 1994. Troy served as an Alcohol Law Enforcement Agent in Fayetteville, NC.
